About Siak and Pelalawan districts

Siak and Pelalawan districts are long-established palm oil production areas with significant numbers of independent smallholder producers. The districts also are home to important social and environmental values, including the Zamrud National Park and Siak Giam Kecil-Bukit Batu Biosphere Reserve in Siak, the Tesso Nilo National Park in Pelalawan and the carbon-dense Kampar Peninsula spanning both districts.
